Marathi Vishwa successfully hosted its annual picnic, ‘Gaav Jatra‘ on June 8th, 2025, at the scenic Johnson’s Park in Piscataway, NJ. The event brought together over 300 community members, including families and young children, for an afternoon filled with fun, food, and games. Despite a drizzle, everything went smoothly, and ‘Varun Dev’ cooperated wonderfully!

The picnic was a lively celebration with enthusiastic participation across all age groups. It kicked off with a high-energy Zumba session, thanks to Mrs. Varsha Naik and Mrs. Madhura Lohit, and continued with fun games for kids and adults alike. A water balloon fight brought extra joy for the children!

A heartfelt Father’s Day cake-cutting added a special touch. Marathi Vishwa also welcomed a total of six small businesses and non-profit organizations from our community to share their services and work.

Our amazing food vendors showcased their delicious snack items and added flavor to the day!

‘Gaav Jatra 2025’ was a joyful, community-centric event that strengthened bonds within the Marathi Vishwa family while supporting local entrepreneurs. The blend of recreational and social elements made the picnic a memorable day for all attendees.

The success of ‘Gaav Jatra’ would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the volunteers. Thanks to Ajinkya Pawar, Sachin Kulkarni, Mita Tilak, Kedar Deshmukh, and Shrikant Gavas.
