Vasantotsav 2025 – April 27
- A vibrant children’s talent showcase with 162 performers across 22 programs.
- Featured devotional singing by MV Swara Dhara winners and a special needs performance that earned a standing ovation.
- Participants from all Marathi Shalas in NJ united for singing, dance, drama, and more.
- Trophies and certificates awarded for various competitions and scholarships.
- Led by Dipti Karkhanis and Trushna Thakur, supported by the full MV board and 20+ volunteers.
Yajurvendra Mahajan Talk – May 3
- An inspiring lecture by the founder of Deepstambh Foundation, focused on empowering marginalized communities.
- Hosted at Old Bridge Library, NJ, with heartfelt audience feedback.
- Seamlessly coordinated despite back-to-back events, thanks to Mandar Kelkar and team.
Wada Chirebandi Play – May 4
- A powerful Marathi drama by Nivedita Saraf, Vaibhav Mangale, and Prasad Oak, held at UCPAC.
- Directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni, the play celebrated Marathi heritage and emotional storytelling.
- Volunteers contributed to set-building, enhancing the production’s impact.
Pasaydan Vyakhyan – May 11
- A spiritual lecture by Dr. Dhanashree Lele on Sant Dnyaneshwar’s teachings.
- Attended by over 160 people, supporting the BMM initiative.
- Deeply enriching and well-received by the community.
MV Outdoors Walk – May 17 (Morning)
- Third annual Maharashtra Din & Memorial Day Walk at Colonial Park, Somerset.
- 65 participants (ages 2–85) collectively walked/ran nearly 500 km.
Refreshments and warm-up dance added to the festive spirit. - Led by Niranjan Deo with support from Milind Puranik, Swapnil Joglekar, and Salil Parkar.
Abhangwari by Mahesh Kale – May 17 (Afternoon)
- A houseful musical evening featuring soulful Abhanga performances.
- Electrifying energy and audience engagement made it a standout cultural event.
